This is a wonderful antique carved lacquer box. It has deep carvings of what appears to be a courting couple or possible actors. I believe the red is cinnabar. There is gold gilding around the box. Some wear to the gold gilding. The box is dusty and can be cleaned. It is in pretty good condition considering its age. Please look over all pictures.
The box is 9 3/8" long x 4 3/8" deep and about 4" tall.

Smaller than expected. It doesn't hold the items that should have fit with room to spare.
