Rare antique 18th to early 19th century Ottoman Turkish ceremonial incense burner.
The hinged incense burner features an ornate spherical pierced design which is also engraved by hand with lovely detailing allowing smoke to flow through in an impactful manner. It has an etched spherical footed stand.
The shaft and candle has thick hand forged threads visible when unscrewed holding the structure together which displays the true age of this rare burner.
A wonderful piece of history.
It stands 11 3/8" tall x 7 7/8" wide. Some wear as expected and a slight bend which can be corrected.
