Description: We don't know which came first the Bennet or the Karl D. Witkowski version of "Happy Days". The subject is the same but there are subtle differences. I do not know if Bennet copied Witkowski's painting or Witkowski copied Bennet's. The painting is old, and I believe it predates the early 1900's. The frame is European and Witowski painted American children in the United states for over 20 years. Could Bennet have been a studen of Witowski, I can't tell you; however, this is a sweet painting. It does need a little cleaning. It is 24 3/8" x 20 5/8" framed, the canvas is 20 1/8" x 16 1/8". No damage noted.
