This is a beautiful, never-worn vintage French religious medal/pendant in perfect condition, featuring a detailed raised image of the Virgin Mary holding the Child Jesus.
The inscription on this side reads in Latin: “ECCE MATER VM SALVTS” (Behold the Mother of Salvation).
The reverse side of the medal features the Sacred Heart of Jesus design with the likely maker's name "JEAN LACROIX" and the Latin words “MISERERE NOBIS” (Have mercy on us).
It still has its original small "MADE IN FRANCE" tag attached, making it a great detail for collectors. The medal has a clean, crisp appearance and a nice vintage tone/patina.
