Antique Chinese Export Porcelain "Piano Baby" Figurine, Late 19thC, Incised Mark
A beautiful antique Chinese export porcelain "piano baby" figurine, dating from the late Qing Dynasty or Republican period sometime before 1861. The figurine depicts a sleeping infant with vibrant polychrome glazing and an incised, uncolored mark on the back, which is a commendation mark translating to "healthy and lucky" (Kangji). This piece is in excellent antique condition, showing age-appropriate wear and some paint loss, but no chips, cracks, or repairs. A charming, genuine antique decorative item.
