This is a wonderful cubist painting by Pitt Cuerlis. I believe it is called "Preface to Winter". It has a beautiful color scheme that would look wonderful in most any home. There were a few tears that we had professionally repaired. The artist did a great job and you cannot tell it was repaired from the front of the painting. The light gold frame has some scuffs and missing paint.
Pitt Cuerlis, (Peter), 1919-2008, studied at the AK Düsseldorf, 1950-52 student in Braque and Chagall, works in France, Spain and Nurnberg.
It is 40 5/8" wide x 35 5/8" tall.
