After Vigee Le Brun Mother and Child 19th Century

Sorry, this item has sold.

This is a very well executed painting after Vigee Le Brun's Mother and Child. It is a self portrait of Vigee Le Brun and her daughter. A touching scene. It is in a period frame, carved solid wood, from the 1800's. Both the painting and the frame are in excellent condition. Please excuse the light glare in the pictures. The original of this painting had gone missing a while ago; however there was a picture of it and this rendition is about as close to the real painting as we've seen. This piece was created in Italy possibly during the Grand Tour.

Framed 47.25" tall x 35.5" wide
Painting 39.5" tall x 27.75: wide

This is a very heavy piece because of the carved wood frame, it is also large, hence they high shipping cost that is included in the price.
